Power Pigs vs. Upper Valley, NH

Results:  Portland 50, Upper Valley 5

Portland played three halves against the hard-working, young team from Upper Valley.
Scoring for Portland: Jon Brown and Patrick MacVane had two tries apiece, while Leland Foster, Will White, Tom Marcisso, Evan Twomey, Ed Beaulieu and Frank Quattrucci had one each.
Portland is now 3-0 in League Play.

Power Pigs vs. Seacoast, NH (May 2, 2009)

Results:  Portland 25, Seacoast 0

 

Portland defeated Seacoast in a League game on Saturday 25-0. In the Seacoast match,# 8 Caleb Tracey scored just before the half to make it 5-0 Pigs. Then in the second half Portland got rolling with outside center Pat MacVane scoring two tries, while fullback Jon Brown and scrumhalf Cole Hutchison added one each.

Power Pigs vs. Kearsage, NH (May 16, 2009)

 

Power Pigs vs. Seacoast (“Friendly Match,” May 20, 2009)

Final Score: Seacoast 26  Portland 12 

The Pigs went down in a mid-week “friendly” match. The boys fought hard all day long, but gave up 19 first half points. Despite a Pat MacVane try and Ian Bussiere-Nichols conversion, they trailed 19-7 at the break. In the second half Portland forced most of the play and gave up only one converted try.  MacVane scored again on the last play of the match to bring the final to 26-12. All players are to be congratulated on playing an excellent game.
